For years, growers have been using Holland Heater fans. This proven technique has contributed to an optimal climate in the greenhouse for many growers. But the technology does not stand still. The next generation is coming, the CAF45 fan with EC technology. This CAF45-EC has a number of important benefits for the customer.
The most important advantage of the GreenTech EC (Electronically Commutated) technology compared to the conventional AC technology is the considerably higher efficiency of these fans. This can be as high as 90%. This means more efficient use of energy, but also less heat loss and therefore a longer lifespan. And you will be surprised by the very low noise level of this fan!
You can fully exploit the advantage of this EC fan by continuously controlling the speed of the fan via an analog 0-10V signal or, if desired, with the help of a climate computer via MODBUS. Even then, the GreenTech EC fan retains its very high efficiency. In comparison with a speed-controlled AC fan, energy consumption can even be halved. And, the number of EC fans that you can connect to one speed controller is considerably higher than in the situation of AC fans. On 1 speed controller you can switch on hundreds of EC fans at the same time without any problems.
The speed is independent of the voltage or mains frequency. This means that air displacement is the same everywhere in the world, regardless of the available mains voltage and frequency.
The motor and all electronics including mains filters are in the EC fan in one metal housing. This means that shielded cables are no longer needed between the fans and very long cable lengths are possible.
